Solution: Bringing AI into audit tests in Excel
The Cinépolis team uses several DataSnipper products to streamline their workflows. They use AI Extractions to extract information and Excel Agents to automate tasks in Excel. They also use DocuMine to review evidence and are starting to explore new agents.
Q: How are you using AI Extractions?
A: We used it to analyze lease agreements from Indonesia, a country we were auditing. We completed an audit that would have been far more complex without DataSnipper. Cinépolis is an international company, and AI Extractions helped us break language barriers: the contracts were in Indonesian and we were able to translate them into English.
Q: How are you using Excel Agents?
A: We give the agent the test objective, the procedures or questions to answer, and the expected result in an Excel file. The agent returns the matrix directly. Running audit tests with agents is easy, and the time savings are significant.
Q: What was your first reaction to Alwin, our new agentic platform?
A: We liked it a lot. Alwin is a very instructive platform, and we look forward to learning more about it. We think we can get the most out of it and apply it to more practices and more tests.

Q: What do you expect from DataSnipper going forward?
A: To keep gaining time for activities that add to our audit work. Extraction remains the most important part, but we also want to use the time we gain to review the extracted information more carefully. That lets us reach better results.
Moving forward, their next step is exploring Alwin, our new agentic platform for audit and finance. The hours they recover go toward reviewing data more closely, ensuring they are delivering high-quality audits, and making room for more audits from the annual plan.
